Gander River starts its journey from the deep water of Gander Lake and flows its way through two beautiful communities of Glenwood & Appleton.Along its banks are many lodges and cabins.It continues it flow to the salt water in Gander Bay,Notre Dame Bay.

You don't have to be a Sports Fisher to enjoy some time on or around this majestic river.Just a strool on its  banks and listen to the rippling water as it lazily fumbles it way among the rocks and through a majestic forest,especially, when the water is low in late august and september.

I spent many days fishing and many days just walking along its shore,meeting very down-to- earth folk that work on the river and live along its banks.
